I have been involved with Rottweilers for over 20 years, starting with my parents rott Zak, a Dark Charles son. Zak was a great ambassador for the breed, both my nieces were brought up with him, especially Zoe who learnt to walk using him as a her guide. We lost him at 7 years old to cancer.

Phil and I are currently owned by 4 rotties, Megan, Dutch, Rogue and Flossie,  You can read all about them on their dedicated pages 'The Clan'.  I have worked with dogs for many years, giving up an office managerable job where I had worked for 14 years - to work in a boarding kennels !!! I loved working there, we had the contract for Bedfordshire police dogs so there was never a dull moment,I stayed there for a few years before deciding to take a break for a year.  Val the nurse at my vets roped me into taking on a job there as a trainee vet nurse, I was a bit unsure at first but 2 years on I'm still there and  being trained in-house to be a vet nurse, it's a fantastic job and i'm so glad I said yes. It has it's sad days but you have to cope with it, the good days outway the bad.  When i'm not at the vets i'm at the hydropool, I have a diploma in canine hydrotheraphy and I manage the local hydropool, again what a great job, swimming with dogs!!
